How to choose the right fabric for your specific LA room

Notes on Belgian linen for coastal homes, performance fabrics for family rooms, and proportions for mid-century interiors.

Before your consultation

How to prepare in 10 minutes.

You do not need to prepare anything. But if you have 10 minutes, these four steps will make your consultation faster and more specific.

01

Measure the wall

Wall width, depth available, ceiling height. Tape measure on your phone works. Approximate is fine.

02

Take 3 photos of the room

The specific wall. The full room from the doorway. The light at the time of day you use the room most.

03

Note what you do in that room

Daily family use, occasional formal, children, pets. How it is lived on determines the fabric.

04

Save any references that feel right

Instagram, magazine tearsheets, a colour on your wall. Any direction is useful β€” even "not this" is a brief.
